And! FINALLY!
Caught Evangelion yesterday!

Waited for 5 bloody hours for it because yesterday was a public holiday and they used the smaller theaters instead of the huge-assed ones.
But it was worth it.

The animation just doesn't fail to amaze me again and again.
And it's a very deep movie. It deals with a lot of human psychological issues and I kinda feel said for Shinji. I mean, the only he could garner attention is through piloting the Eva, and it's not even something that he wants to do or thinks he could do. He's just doing it because his father told him to and if that's the only way he could make his father know of his presence, he will do it, even if it means brain-washing himself.

Actually, the whole plot is quite sad. =(

BUT! The movie is definitely very enjoyable. I don't mind watching it again!
It does help that Utada's 'Beautiful World' is the theme song to it.
AND!! People sat through the credits, hoping to catch a glimpse of the trailer to the second movie, but we got cheated. Anyways, they listened to the whole song, so... awesomeness!

I'm falling in love again with 'Beautiful World'. It's really a beautiful song all around.
Too bad there isn't a proper PV for it.

From Kinokuniya, the only portal (not to mention pretty crowded and squeezey) to the Japanese world on mainland Singapore, not counting the Internet.

This is really not expected.
I was just walking around Kino, checking out the idol mags because I was looking out for the latest issue of Oricon Style magazine.
To my disappointment, every fangirl reserved it till there's no more left for sale?
It's crazy I swear.

Then, the Koizora photobook caught my eye cause I think it's in theaters now (Want to catch it and cry buckets. I know I'm slightly psycho) and Aragaki Yui is in it.


Went over to the display wall and saw the photobook and... then... my eyes landed on this seemingly familiar yet so bloody surrealistic sight on a red background with a gold figure of a thingy.
Then it hit me, FREESTYLE freaking right next to the Koizora photobook.

Reasons why I'm so shocked:

1. Kino said they WONT BE BRINGING in this book. Bloody bluff me lah!
2. I totally didn't see the red cover... because a partition was blocking it. I'm so blur as to not to realise it only until I was right in front of it.

I thought it was the last book because there was only one book left on the display rack.
So being the kiasu Singaporean I'm brought up to be, I immediately took it into my temporary possession, hoping no one noticed me. Uhhur.

I think I heard some girl saying, 'Aiyoh, no more already.' I was so paiseh that I immediately moved to the travel section and grabbed a random book to cover the copy I was holding.

Oh my god, how discreet I was trying to be, really.
Then Alethea came, finally, after a damn long time at the toilet, I showed her the shining beacon of an art book.
And she's went... 'Aren't you ordering online?'

Then, 'Blah blah blah, the-online-site-are-being-a-bitch-now-no-one's-updating-!!!'
So I was thinking of asking the counter if there were more copies. I mean, I didn't want that last copy off that rack. TYPICAL SINGAPOREAN. I KNOW.

Asked and waited ... waited and felt like an idiot and like almost every other 50000000 gazillion girls before me who were super kiasu too. =) (We should really totally do this together, like march in together in one freaking platoon and demand for our goods. Doing it alone is making myself so bloody self-conscious. Lucky Alethea is there, and THANK GOD she's not a fangirl.)
Anyways, long story short, we found a whole section dedicated to PHOTOBOOKS ONLY and saw like KAT-TUN stuff, NEWS stuff... AND A WHOLE STACK OF FREESTYLE.

So what I'm trying to get at is,


It's near the Japanese/Chinese counter, near the entrance of the counter, that whole rack facing the counter entrance THERE.
GO GO GO.
It's priced at 39.50, plus if you have the Kino card, you're entitled to a 10% off.

Yeps.


And don't tell me you know that section existed long ago because after all these 6 years of calling Kinokuniya my second home, I only just found out of this section. =(

Ultimately today, I'm really disappointed about not being able to get a copy of the Oricon Style mag because not only Arashi is on the cover, Utada, Ikimonogakari and YUI are in it too.
It's the first time so many of my favourite artistes are in a single 'place'.

And... Kinokuniya just refuses to bring in more of Oricon Style despite knowing the fact that there are hell lot of JE fangirls out there and Oricon Style is generally very popular.

URGH.
Annoying.
I'm going to write in to complain.
I'm serious.

This is for the good of all people (JE fangirls & Jpop lovers in general) in Singapore!!!!!!!!!

Okay done ranting and relieving all my excitement out.
I may just buy another book for the sake of framing it up and putting it on display.
If only I wasn't this broke.
